{Foodie Friday} Gorilla Cheese Truck

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing another favorite go-to spot for a midtown lunch. Gorilla Cheese NYC is a truck that specializes in the grilled cheese (get it?).  From a basic grilled cheddar on white bread to a Philly cheese-steak grilled cheese, this truck serves up gooey goodness.

I usually go for their specialty sandwiches, today it was buffalo chicken on wheat bread with tater tots and a side of habanero dipping sauce. Very spicy indeed!

{Foodie Friday} Bob & Jo Korean Fusion Truck

Hello and happy Friday!

In brainstorming ways to make Hogaroso more engaging, I decided to implement Foodie Fridays a weekly feature on all things YUM!

For the official kickoff I want to share with you what I eat for lunch at least twice a week, every week, I am seriously obsessed with the spicy chicken at Bob & Jo's Korean Fusion Truck.

Bob and Jo's basically offers choice of meat on: {1} ramen  {2} rice platter. While I usually go for chicken rice platter, ramen does the trick to warm up a cold winter day.

Eating at my desk - Bob & Jo Chicken Ramen

The best part about being a frequent customer is the occasional free dumplings that come my way :)

If you live in NYC or are visiting NYC and come across this truck definitely check it out.

Do you have any favorite lunch time spots in your area? Any notable food trucks?

{Travel} 3 Weeks until India

Only three weeks until our big trip and still so much to do. The good news is that I went to India Sari Palace in Queens this weekend and picked up a gorgeous sari and a shalwar kameez that I am absolutely in love with. Cesar also picked up his outfit which coordinates nicely with mine. The reviews for India Sari Palace are spot on, the staff was very very patient and explained the different types of fabric and made sure the sari was elegant enough for a wedding in Udaipur.

I've also been debating getting a new purse for the trip, I definitely need a new bag in general but have also been a bit worried about being in tight crowds and the potential for pick-pocketing on bag slashing. After much research I decided to get the PacSafe Hobo Travel Bag, I went with this bag because of its large size and security features. The bag arrived today and while its not something I would use on a daily basis (not 100% my style) I think that it will work perfectly for this trip and for any subsequent travels.

Another Amazon purchase was Shantaram: A Novel a must read according to this blog. I figured since I've read the guidebook cover to cover already I still had time for a supplementary read. Boy was I surprised when this book arrived in a fat, heavy package. Turns out this novel is over 900 pages! Most definitely I will not finish it in 3 weeks and it is too heavy to carry around but we'll see how far into it I get.

So that's my all things India update, here is how the to-do list is faring as of today.
